The Family of Parishes Intercessory Prayer Ministry meets In St Anne’s Chapel, each Wednesday after 9:00 a.m. This group was founded specially to intercede for the spiritual and physical needs of our Family of Parishes.

Intercessory prayer is “a prayer of petition that leads us to pray as Jesus did.  He is the one intercessor with the Father on behalf of all men, especially sinners” (CCC, 2634

It is Christ Jesus who died, was raised, who also is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us” (Romans 8:34).

Intercessors do not tell the Lord what to do but seek first to discern God’s will in the matter and then pray that God’s purpose be done in that situation. The power of intercession is magnified many times when intercessors pray together. (Sherry Weddell)
