**There will be a $25 materials and program fee.  Please call the Main Office if you have any questions or concerns regarding the fee.

Preparation for Confirmation  


St. Thomas (St. Anne's & Holy Angels')

Confirmation Prep will take place on Sundays after 11:00am Mass in the St. Anne's Centre. 12:00pm-1:30pm
 

November 5th - "Why Am I Here? & What Makes Me Happy?"
November 12th - "Who is Jesus?"
November 19th - "Who is The Holy Spirit?"
November 26th - "What Does the Holy Spirit Do?"
December 3rd - "Why Have I Been Chosen?"

West Lorne (St. Mary's & St. Helens)

Confirmation prep will take place at St. Mary's school in coordination with the grade 7 teacher.

**There will be a meeting for all parents and confirmation candidates who are doing their confirmation preparation through St. Mary's on Sunday, October 29th, 2023 after mass at 11:15am. All are invited to come to mass at 10am and we will meet at the St. Mary's parish hall afterwards.**

Confirmation brings the grace first received in Baptism to perfection. The Holy Spirit roots us more deeply in the Divine Life as the sons and daughters of God. It also makes us more like Jesus Himself and strengthens our bond with the Church in order for the baptized to carry out the mission of Jesus here and now, bearing witness to the Christian faith by what we say and do. We are strengthened to never be ashamed of the Cross of Jesus Christ.

In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the Bishop, or his delegate, uses oil known as Sacred Chrism and traces the sign of the Cross on the forehead of the candidate as he says, "Be sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit."
