Our Mission

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada is a national organization rooted in gospel values calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God.

The League's History

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada was organized nationally on June 17, 1920, and granted federal incorporation on December 12, 1923. 

The League is officially recognized by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) as a lay association of women and is affiliated with the World Union of Catholic Women’s Organizations (WUCWO), a worldwide federation holding membership in the Conference of International Catholic Organizations (ICO) and having consultative status with agencies of the United Nations.

League Objectives

The objectives of the League shall be to unite Catholic women of Canada:

1. to achieve individual and collective spiritual development
2. to promote the teachings of the Catholic Church
3. to exemplify the Christian ideal in home and family life
4. to protect the sanctity of life

Family of Parishes Catholic Women's Leagues

• The CWL is now collecting new and renewed Memberships for 2025. Dues may be dropped off at the Church Office or placed in the collection basket marked as "CWL Membership". Dues for 2025 are $35.

• Holy Angels’ Bazaar
  Are you a knitter, sewer or crocheter?  The Holy Angels' bazaar ladies are looking for people to complete some projects for the bazaar.  You can choose to do as little or as much as you wish.  If you are interested in helping out, please call Lizeanne at (519) 633-1125.
